CtrlFleet at SAPICS 2025 – Innovation in Motion

In June, CtrlFleet took part in the 47th annual SAPICS Conference, Africa’s premier gathering of supply chain professionals, held at the Century City Conference Centre in Cape Town from 8 to 11 June 2025.

The conference theme, Innovation in Motion, could not have been a more fitting backdrop for our team. Nearly a thousand delegates gathered to explore how supply chains are transforming into more resilient, adaptive and forward thinking systems. For us, being there was about more than listening, it was about being part of that shift.

Our stand became a magnet for conversation, not just about technology, but about the bigger questions: how do we build more efficient, scalable and sustainable supply chains across Africa. As delegates moved through the exhibition, we were sparking ideas, answering questions, and showing how CtrlFleet helps operators solve the real world challenges that keep supply chains moving.

What struck us most was how the conference did not just talk about sustainability, it lived it. The Century City venue itself is a four Star Green Star certified hub, powering nearly 40 percent of its energy needs via solar, reducing potable water use by 30 percent, and diverting more than half of its waste through recycling and composting initiatives.

Against that eco conscious backdrop, SAPICS also introduced an exciting first. Demand Driven World, a standalone event focused on demand driven supply chain methods, was hosted entirely within the SAPICS programme, with no additional registration fee. It was a powerful example of educational synergy, and we were thrilled to be among the delegates experiencing it.

Networking buzzed through the conference halls. Interactive workshops, panel talks and live question sessions sparked fresh insights. Evening events and impromptu exchanges helped us forge connections that stretched far beyond Cape Town, turning into partnerships, opportunities and collaboration.

We came away energised. SAPICS 2025 reminded us that supply chains, when reimagined with innovation and purpose, can carry us toward a more efficient, sustainable and resilient future. CtrlFleet is stepping into that future with intention.
