Digital Dynamics | The Network Effect

CtrlFleet Hosts its Third Edition of Digital Dynamics in Cape Town

CtrlFleet hosted the third edition of its flagship industry event, Digital Dynamics, in Cape Town this week, bringing together leaders from across the logistics and technology sectors to explore this year’s theme, “The Network Effect.”

Held at a rooftop venue in the city, the event welcomed transport operators, technology partners, and industry stakeholders for a morning of presentations and discussion focused on how integrated systems and collaborative partnerships are shaping the future of logistics.

The programme concluded with networking over canapés, allowing attendees to continue conversations and strengthen industry connections. Digital Dynamics has established itself as a platform for exploring the role of digitisation in transport and logistics, highlighting how technology, data, and partnerships are transforming operational performance across the sector.

The 2026 programme featured insights from speakers representing several key areas of the logistics ecosystem, including telematics, fleet technology, financial systems, fuel infrastructure, and transport management platforms. Speakers included representatives from CtrlFleet, TFN, TydeCo, Powerfleet, FleetIT, and Zimi, each sharing perspectives on how connected platforms are enabling smarter, more resilient logistics operations.

Opening the event, CtrlFleet co-founder Renko Bergh spoke about the evolving state of digitisation in the logistics industry. While many larger operators are increasingly adopting advanced technologies such as data analytics and digital freight platforms, smaller operators still face barriers including legacy systems, skills shortages, and the cost of implementation.

A central theme throughout the event was the importance of integration. Speakers emphasised that the real value of digital transformation lies not simply in adopting new technologies, but in ensuring that operational, financial, and data systems work together to create clearer visibility and better decision-making.

Presentations also explored how safety technologies, financial integration, and specialised digital platforms are helping operators improve efficiency, manage costs, and strengthen operational resilience across increasingly complex supply chains.

The discussions highlighted a shared industry perspective: the future of logistics will belong not only to the biggest operators, but to those who build the most connected ecosystems of technology, data, and strategic partnerships.

Digital Dynamics concluded with closing remarks, a live audience poll, and an extended networking session, reinforcing the event’s role as a meeting point for the people and platforms shaping the next generation of logistics and technology innovation.
